These guys are awesome and heroes fighting for freedom and to stop the Taliban imposing their ridiculous religious ideals on a peaceful population.

Scotland bringing freedom around the world! Bad asses!
Why are they heroes? Whom do they fight against? An army? Surely not! You cannot “win” in such a “war”. You can only take care that the society itself is not interested in fundamentalism. And this will NOT work by shooting at everybody around.
I thought this clip was about a firefight in Afghanistan. It was largely about Afghan soil. I wish the video taker could look up more often than down. After all, he was in a protected compound. I’ve been in a similar situation before. Just keep your head low well enough for the incoming rounds to whiz safely overhead without making a backstop out of you. Yes, you could actually hear them whiz by. He could have simply knelt down on one knee and panned his cam slowly around the compound to do more justice to the courage of the soldiers fighting this battle. Indeed, we should do more to recognize the courage of fighting men in defense of country and people.
